about

I wrote this one on Terry Boy's old Ovation back in Paradise Park out in the Puna district on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Moku 'o Keawe. It rains a lot out in Puna, and I'd sit on our lanai and play guitar when I had a rare spare moment in the evening. My favorite was to play as the storms came rolling in. You'd hear them out in the distant, and could gauge when they'd hit. I remember counting down till the torrential downpour hit! I'll never forget the rain beating on our tin roof, and drowning out any guitar I was trying to play.

The rainbows that would come out following the storms were incredible. For that reason, I named the song Ke Anuenue.
