This is another song I wrote early on to play at the coffee house. Most people think it's real complicated, but truth be told, I had been playing guitar for less than a year, and found the magic of slack key tunings. The tuning makes it much easier to play that it sounds.
This one was named by my Hanai Dad. Allen Henry Uiha Ai. I asked him what it sounded like, and his comment was that it reminded him of Haleakala Highway in the morning. I had to agree. From that time on, the song has been called Morning on Haleakala Highway, and is still one of my favorite's to play.
